What is a Prothese?

Een kunstgebit is een constructie van acryl en soms metaal om tanden te vervangen. Dit is meestal een oplossing voor tijdelijke vervanging van tanden terwijl de patiΓ«nt wacht op implantaten of bruggen.

Nood prothese

Een spoedprothese wordt in de kortst mogelijke tijd gemaakt en is de eenvoudigste oplossing als u helemaal geen tanden heeft of er veel ontbreken en u tot een jaar moet wachten tot u bruggen op implantaten plaatst. Meestal is de prothese vrij ruw en in sommige gevallen is het nodig om speciale lijm te gebruiken om de prothese te fixeren. U kunt deze prothese 1 tot 12 maanden gebruiken en daarna uw behandeling voortzetten.

Dit is dezelfde noodprothese van acryl, alleen maken we hem sterker, esthetischer en nauwkeuriger. Je kunt deze prothese jarenlang gebruiken en hij zit comfortabeler. Meestal zult u tussen de 3-6 keer moeten komen om een beschermende prothese voor u te maken.

Frame Prothese, acryl+metal base (voor een lange tij)

Dit is een vergelijkbare prothese van acryl, maar dan weer sterker door de metalen constructie als basis. Je kunt deze prothese jarenlang gebruiken en hij zit comfortabeler. Meestal zult u tussen de 3 en 6 keer moeten komen om een beschermende prothese voor u te maken.
